Details: For the last 5 and a half years, Yoga Therapist Samantha Sambrooke, has worked in the mental health field. She is ready to to share some techniques that have been effective at managing stress, improving interoception and unwinding muscular tension.
Whether you would like some practical tools to use in your life, or you’re a Yoga Teacher looking to add to your knowledge, this is for you.
In these hours, you will be introduced to:
Please note, this is not a “Trauma Informed Yoga Training”. Yoga Teachers are more than welcome to share any of these techniques after learning and experiencing them for themselves, however additional training/experience may be required to teach to this population.
Also note, while Yoga is not a “cure all” it is potentially a wonderful compliment to other therapy(ies) you may be exploring. Please consult your relevant health care practitioner(s) to discuss if this is right for you at this time.
For Yoga Teachers, this experience is eligible for 30 Continuing Education hours from the Yoga Alliance.
Participants will be provided handouts as well as some audio recordings.
Refund Policy: All sales are final and no credit issued. In the event of a snow day, an additional Sunday will be added to the schedule.

- Psychoeducation (learn the physiologically behind the stress response including the role of the Vagus Nerve and Yoga specifically for the Vagus Nerve)
- SomaYoga (small and gentle movements, which help to rewire the brain and body to ease chronically tense muscles)
- Guided Relaxation Techniques (for anxious and busy minds)
- Breathing Exercises (for Hyperaroused as well as Hypoaroused states)
- Methods for Managing Strong Emotions (how to turn towards sensations as opposed to suppressing)
- Tips for Better Sleep (how to improve sleep hygiene through Yoga)
- Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda (connecting the dots between theory and practice so you can become empowered in choosing the exercise/technique that is suitable for you in the moment)
